Dr. Miriam Nakanwagi
Miriam Nakanwagi is a medical doctor, public health specialist and epidemiologist with 12+ impactful years of technical expertise in HIV, TB and maternal and child health programs. Her work experience spans strategic programming, program monitoring, evaluation and learning, health policy formulation and revision, operational research, grant writing and review, and scientific writing and communication.
Dr. Nakanwagi has worked with Uganda’s Ministry of Health, in-country PEPFAR programs and has consulted for UNICEF and UNAIDS. She is currently investigating risk factors for non-communicable diseases among young people with and without HIV.
She is a member of the organizing committee for IPHASA and PAHLCA.
