Dr. christine Mulowooza
I am medical doctor| Global Health Researcher| Infection Control and HIV Specialist, with over 6 years experience in HIV care and management for children & adolescents living with HIV(CALHIV) in Uganda. I am working at the Ministry of Health, AIDS Control Program in the pediatric and adolescent HIV unit, where I coordinate the first national pediatric ART cohort, the Uganda Pediatric ART (UP-ART) Cohort. The cohort has enrolled and is following up over 2000 children and adolescents living with HIV in care.
Before joining Ministry of Health, I worked as a Program Coordinator at Vaccine Access Initiative, where I coordinated the set up of this facility and over saw the vaccination program. I have also worked as a Front-line medical officer managing Covid-19 patients at the Mulago National Referral Hospital in Kampala, Uganda.
My research interest is in infectious diseases putting emphasis on pediatric and adolescent HIV/AIDS. My ultimate goal is to enhance and support the research portfolio, especially at the Pediatric and Adolescent HIV unit at the Ministry of Health.
